TOP 5: Most popular questions asked by passengers & explainations

This time, I will share with you other questions asked by passengers, during my shifts on the information desk.
  1. How many cigarettes can I carry to England?
    It was a typical question asked by 1/3 passengers on every flight to UK. And when you were answering „800 pieces” you heard „OMG, really? That much?! It’s so great to know”
  2. Is it ok, if my luggage is overweighted ?
    Like, really people? If you bought specified weight, there is a reason for that, I think so.. Of course, there are exceptions, like if you go to the Agent with good mood this day, he could turn a blind eye for that, but don’t think that it will be always. If you don’t choose wisely – no screams, cries will make us change our minds, it is our job to take care of weights – some people carry them to the airplane and airlines earn mostly on overweight luggages.
  3. Can I take food and drink with me in a carry-on luggage?
    Water – YES, UP TO 100 ml, so I don’t think this small bottles someone is producing.
    Food – YES. There are no limits imposed on food, it cannot be liquid, but if you take ex. cottage cheese it should go through security control. To surprise some of you, you can even hold ham packaging hermetically. But honey is not so good idea to take with you. If you want to be sure you will arrive with some of food, just leave them in a checked luggaged and everything will pass.
  4. In 2 weeks I’m flying abroad, is my flight on time?
    Like dude, I don’t even know if all of today’s flights will be on time, so how am I suppose to know if something won’t happen in couple days? Unfortunately, I am not a fairy.
  5. I want to re-book my ticket, how can I do this?
    To be honest, on cheap flights it is more profitable just to buy a new tickect, because most of the time it will cost you more than a new one. However on Lufthasa, SAS or even LOT if you don’t buy a higher class of a ticket you also need to pay a big sum of money to change time/date/name or something.
These questions are just one of the most popular, but the list is much longer than 5, but I won’t finish that if I write all questions passengers asked me about.
