NORWAY: Oslo

I have been in Norway for 3 days in December, 2015, after Christmas. It was a spontaneous trip – everything was planned in less than a week! We booked tickets via Ryanair and flew from Wroclaw to Oslo Torp. For the tickets we paid around 80zl, however we never considered that going to the city center will be more expensive than going there. We chose the cheapest way – two-way ticket for 250 NOK (with student discount).
CITY:
The city covered with snow is something really worth seeing – I fall in love with „little Santa’s land”.  I really liked, that on many corners we could find some sculptures or statues, my favourite one was the hand, rising from the ground and holding the rose. Oslo is relly monumental and old city, especially in the centre, however near the port I saw the most beautiful and modern buildings ever. They are near the sea, and each of them has their unique style. One had even widows looked like triangles and spreaded on the building.
CULTURE:
The culture in Norway is also a blessing – everyone was so kind to us. Firstly, we couldn’t find the way to our hotel and first asked person started to talk with us and even went with us some way just to show where the hotel is. The best thing is that, everyone is smiling to you, apart from bad weather also. The second advantage was treating pedestrians very nicely. I even made a test – when I had red light when I crossed the street and I was surprised.  No one used a claxon and a tram stopped until we were on the street. Congrats for that.
