HUNGARY: BUDAPEST

I have been in Budapest for less than 4 days and the city is very interesting and worth seeing.
Not prolonging the introduction – what to see /what I saw & recommend in Budapest:
CITY ITSELF
The whole city, as we all know is divided into two parts – Buda & Pest. The point of division is a bridge – the old one with lions – Széchenyi lánchíd bridge (we can say that they keep an eye on the entrance to the other side of the town). Near the main city center you can go and see the symbol of Pest- the Parliament, quite nice and impressive big building. Behind that, there is a statue and a long alley across the river – Dunaj.
Shops: Finding yourself in Budapest as a fashion center is not a problem. In the two shopping centers (MOM PARK & MAMMUT) you can look for luxury brands, such as Michael Kors, or the typical ones – Promod, Mohito. Of course, not mentioning the food inside the malls would be a sin. However, the best extravagance shops, like Ferragamo, Burberry are situated on one street – Vaci street, where at the end is another shopping mall. Firstly, looking at the prices in Poland and Budapest, here is a little much cheaper., despite discounts. Another advantage of coming here was a fact, that some of more luxury brands you cannot find in Poland.
BIG MARKET
In this city you can find very interesting market. It’s a big storage of food, wines, souvenirs typical for Hungary. Going here was good option to taste some city delicacies, like Palinka – brandy or vodka made from fruits. Of course, here is not only food – postcards, magnets, tablecloths, clothes on the second floor are also made in hungarian style.

CITADEL
Very interesting part of the city at the UNESO list. To get there, we need to reach the Gellert Hill. At the top, there is a citadel and a Freedom Statue of Budapest. This place is the MUST BE point if you are planning a trip to this city. If you get there, you can buy souvenirs, eat something and admire the landscape of the whole city.  This is a perfect place to make photo of yourself. There are built many view points, one big and long – the main and going by stairs a little bit lower – many rounded, smaller points. Going down, there is a big playground (even adults can have fun there).

BUDAPEST EYE
Located next to the old town, the wheel is very similar to the London Eye. Maybe smaller. In addition, it goes much quicker and there are like 5 rounds on it. Also here you can admire the whole panormana of the city.
BUDA CASTLE + FISHERMAN’S BASTION
Going there you can feel like back to previous century – old paths,  houses, monuments. The last monument I had an occasion to see was the Matthias Church. Actually, it has great gothic architecture. Behind the church there is finally large fortification of the bastion. It looks so magical, castles made from beach sand – opportunity to take fantastic photos. There are couple towers, inside one is a restaurant and a terrace with, again panorama of the downtown.

RED BUSES:
If you don’t like to walk there are also HOP ON – HOP OFF BUSES (just like in Great Britain) that you can but ticket and go around even for whole day or just exit on the station you like. There are many routes of this busses.

The only thing thatI regret was not seeing the Island of St. Margaret, because of lack of the time.
